CommunityQuest AY 2025/26 Shortlisted Projects Announced – Community Engagement in Action
CEU organises the “CommunityQuest – VTC Community Engagement Reward Scheme” in AY2025/26 again, following its successful launch in last academic year. The Scheme encourages students to apply their Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) skills to address community issues in four main themes: youth development, elderly and gerontechnology, sustainability, and inclusivity. The Scheme received an enthusiastic response, with teams from various Disciplines and institutions submitting a wide range of creative project proposals. After the preliminary assessment, 12 outstanding projects have been shortlisted.

The shortlisted teams will soon collaborate with community partners to explore practical solutions to real-world issues, putting their VPET skills into action to give back to the community.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Institutional Advancement Office (IAO) for their coordination. Some of the Scheme projects in this academic year are generously supported by the Mr. K.S. Cheng Memorial Scholarship.
[Photo 1] The Scheme’s preliminary assessment is completed in January, with the shortlisted projects selected. The judging panel includes two CEU representatives, alongside Mr Kelvin TO (second from left), Senior Project Officer of the Smart City Innovation Centre and STEAM Education Centre, and Ms Angel YU (second from right), Senior Corporate Communications Manager of the Communications and Public Relations Office.
[Photo 2] The judges carefully review the submissions, assessing them based on the demonstration of VPET skills, alignment with the four designated themes, community value, practicality, and integration of creativity and design thinking.
