Developed by students of VTC Engineering Discipline and Health and Life Sciences Discipline, the ‘i+Home’ device is an loT-based smart home monitoring system with a range of sensors installed in the bathroom, kitchen and living room to minimize the risk of household accidents for elderly, especially those living alone. 

The system is equipped with multiple safety features. In addition to gas detector and flow sensor, the 'U-trap Refill Automator’ will automatically top up the water level when needed. When unusual activities are detected within the household, alerts will be sent to remind the elderly, their family members or wardens.
