Whenever there are any traffic incidents or road maintenance, traffic cones are placed manually by road repairmen for traffic diversion. This task can be risky under some particular road conditions. To minimize the risks, students developed a robot arm that can assist road construction. By using vision for automatic control, the project aims to control the movement of robot arm with gripper to catch and pick road construction items such as traffic cones.
